During the first weekend of August, Fisterra hosts the gastronomic festival of the Longueirón. It is usually celebrated in the area of the Ribeira beach, next to the fish market, where the stalls for the tasting of the longueirón will be installed.
During the longueirón festival weekend, longueirón in all its gastronomic varieties (grilled longueirón, in empanada or omelette) can be tasted at popular prices.
There is also an entertainment and musical programme during the two days of the event.
