Heritage and technology  works together to open the doors of Carnota and of the Pindo Mountain to  a million people

Lira and Compostela received this week the dupla presentation in novelty of the project Trekker Pindo Mountain, that allows to visit with the rucksack Trekker and incorporate to Google 169 kilometres of roteiros of hiking of the  Pindo Mountain and of the rest of the City council of Carnota, convertíndoo in the first municipality that digitaliza his routes to allow visit them virtually anytime and from any one part of the world.

From this time on a total of 50 routes are already accessible in the cartographic applications of Google, mainly Maps, Earth or Street View. The two first allow to access directly to the routes soltando on any point of the same the muñequito yellow Pegman. Google Street View, works like a catalogue of pints that can visit all over the world. And to the same level that the Machu Picchu, the city of Petra, the Taj Mahal and dozens of other world-wide emblems, already is  the Mountain Pindo, with direct access to 20 places of the Celtic Olimpo and of the City council of Carnota that is worth it to discover, first virtually and afterwards to be able to be in person.

But in addition to the indiscubíbel value that this initiative will have for the socioeconomic operators, another of the fundamental aims is to allow that the greater people, emigrated or prevented by any one reason to visit the Pindo Mountain, can fulfil his dream from the comfort of his home.

After more than a year devoted the this initiative, a documentary on this project directed by Miguel Marino and Guillermo Ascanio, resumieron in alone 10 minutes to philosophy of the project Trekker  Pindo Mountain. This documentary, that had the collaboration of the City council of Carnota, already is accessible in the channel of Youtube (with possibility of subheads) or in the social networks Facebook and Linkedin.
