Dear visitor, neighbor, professional, entrepreneur;
My name is Santiago Toba Campaña, and I´m the president of the Costa da Morte Association of Tourism (CMAT), and I´m happy to welcome this virtual space, a tool that offers all the touristic actuality of the Costa da Morte.
The CMAT constitutes in May of 2015 as an association without spirit of lucre with juridical personality and full capacity of act, that integrates to the different local agents, public and private. Actyually it is compose by sixteen city councils ( Laracha, Cabana de Bergantiños, Camariñas, Carballo, Carnota, Cee, Corcubión, Dumbría, Fisterra, Laxe, Malpica de Bergantiños, Mazaricos, Muxía, Ponteceso, Vimianzo, Zas ), associated in public representativeness, and by the Professionals of the Tourism of Costa da Morte Association (APTCM) in representativeness of the touristic sector private.
the main objective of CMAT is the promotion and the ordination of the tourism of Costa da Morte; project the image of the Costa da Morte in the outside as a destination of quality, increasing the economic impact of the tourism in the our municipality and sensitizing the local population of the importance to all the community.
In 2018, we design our Plan of Action for the Costa da Morte Tourism 2019 – 2021, our tool of management to develop and promote the territory, through the collaboration of all his agents involved. His leadership belongs to our association, as representative and managemente entity of the touristic sector Our 5 main challenges are:
  • Be a touristic destination recognized by his quality.
  • Act with a touristic developmental model sustainable to economic level, environmental and social.
  • Achieve a senior balance of the touristic flows.
  • Act with a knitted touristic more joined and coordinated.
  • Consolidate the touristic mark Costa da Morte to regional level, national and international.
For us, it´s vitally important to support the initiatives related to our touristic products more important that contribute to achieve our challenges: active tourism and adventure, nautical tourism, sailor tourism, cultural tourism, Way of St. James, surf tourism, black tourism, nature tourism, gastronomic tourism , ornithological tourism and sportive tourism.
In our activities, stand out  those that are related with the our main axes of performance:
  • Management, communication and institutional cooperation.
  • Competitivity and quality.
  • Design and promotion of strategic touristic products.
  • Communication and positioning of mark and destination.
In this page web will be able to find all the necessary in touristic subject, as well as courses of training, formative days, information of interest to sector professionals, information related to the development of new touristic products or the projects realized in the last years in Costa da Morte. These actions are guided to increase the professionalization of the sector, to promote the quality of the touristic offer and to increase the collaboration with the local entrepreneur.
