The Open Archaeological Museum is located in Carnota at a level of 200m above sea level and is distributed by 7 archeological stations, composed of petroglyphs, the Castro de Mallou and the remains of the ancient Torre dos Mouros.

Museum that hosts numerous photographs of the Catastrofe do Barco Prestige in 2002, and the work of the volunteers in cleaning the area. Sometimes it hosts other temporary exhibitions normally related to Muxía. There is no established timetable, nor is it open all year, depending on the opening of subsidies, however, with prior request from the tourist office or the city council can take guided tours.
