Balarés Beach
Located on the ría of Corme y Laxe, at one end of Monte Blanco, it is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Ponteceso. The beach is formed by a small cove and has fine, white sand and moderate waves. Thousands of people visit the beach during the summer months. During the Second World War the beach was used to send wolfram to the Germans from a jetty located at one end of the beach. The remains of this jetty can still be seen today.
